A bit about Rugby Town
Rugby Town JFCand Rugby Town Girls FC an FA Charter Standard Community Club, run 34 teams in different leagues across the midlands. Players start from 5 years old and can continue playing with in the set up to under 21s and also Rugby Town Seniors, the girls section also includes an open age ladies team. The club has in excess of 600 members completing at different levels. The 1.5 million development of club grounds has enabled the club to grow and provide great facilities that include a club house with conference and changing rooms, flood lit pitch, in total 12 pitches and 2 x 5G Astro turfs.
Each year players have opportunities to join centres of excellence; players that have started with the club have gone onto clubs such as, Leicester City, Coventry City, Birmingham Ladies, Northampton Town, and Aston Villa. The club provides football at grass routes level that enables every one to enjoy football and rise through the football ladder with in there ability.
The club boasts over 70 coaches from Level 1 to 3, all looked after by head coach and FA regional coach of the Year Dave Roche, which includes growing group of young leaders including BCFA County young leader of the year Jasmine Morris. With coach the coach works shops, coaching library, the club provides back up to all volunteers in the club, which enables players to be coached in the right way from the youngest to oldest members.
Following on from last season the club has stepped up its approach to help the players and coaches with more player sessions in skill and street football schools run by the Strachan Academy and this coming season stepped up its goal keeping sessions with the introduction of Sells Goalkeeper Academy, the club looks forward to great season ahead with its new partners and football sessions held for all members of the club and the community, be it boys or girls and at every level of ability.
