Evan Jeckells
Sells Goalkeeping Academy are extremely proud to announce that one of our keepers that attended our early goalkeeper coaching courses, Evan Jeckells, has now been taken on by Cambridge Utd. Evan joined our academies when the company was just starting up and attended several of our academies. Evan showed to the SGA team the qualities that are needed to progress and earn himself a contract with a professional club. Whilst only twelve, Evan attended the Coventry City Academy who he impressed so much that they offered him a two year contract, but with Evan living just on the catchment area limit and coming into his important years at school the decision was made to attend a club closer to home allowing Evan to concentrate on his school work as well as his football.
SGA would like to wish Evan the best of luck in earning his first football contract. This is the first step on a very long ladder to becoming a professional footballer.
While SGA will offer unprecedented goalkeeper coaching and the opportunity for trials at a professional football club, the determination, attitude and passion to want to become a professional footballer can only come from within the keeper themselves. This is something that along with the talent we look for at SGA.
