Sells Goalkeeping Academy Good Hands
Experienced goalkeeper Steve Northwood was released by Whyteleafe during October and sent an e-mail to every club in the league offering his services. It was Grays Athletic who responded and they have had no cause to regret it. Indeed, by conceding only one league goal during November, Northwood has won the Good Hands award for Division One North.
Harrow Borough started the month with a brave performance against Chesterfield in the FA Cup, going down 2-0 after goalkeeper Nicky Jupp had defied the League Two leaders for more than 70 minutes. They have since played four Premier Division games without defeat and conceded only three goals, making Jupp the Good Hands winner.
Leatherhead’s Chico Ramos takes the Division One South prize. Although his team have been better known for their goalscoring exploits, they also kept a tight defence in November when they let in two goals in five league games.
