Greeny's Food Diary
8.30am Glass of fresh orange juice, three weetabix served with semi-skimmed milk - matchday tomorrow, so need to make sure I start the day right!
9.30am 2 bananas, bottle of still water
11.30am Bottle of lucozade sport during training – lots of drills today, so it’s important to keep hydrated
12pm large plate of penne pasta bake with chicken, served with a side salad – nice big dinner to refuel my body after using so much energy during training
4pm Raspberry yoghurt fruit smoothie – a great way of getting your five a day, even if you aren’t fruit in the conventional way.7pm lean beef with mashed potatoes, peas, carrots and mushrooms – a good blend of protein, carbohydrate and vegetables, which should make the basis of most diets.
9.30pm Bottle of still water with Hydro Active Hydrate powder, toast with honey and a banana – preparation is one of the most important things for any footballer, and making sure your body is hydrated is very important.
