Greeny Kicking Technique

SGA Team & Anthony Lewis

Robert Green shows us how he kicks a ball during a Premiership match. Please note the shape of Greeny's body shape as he strikes the ball. His head is down so he is looking at the ball as his foot kicks through the ball. His arm is out to give him balance, and his left leg is planted firmly to the left of the ball.

1. Greeny approches the ball with his head looking at the ball and raising his left arm to balance himself.

2. As Greeny strikes the ball, his head is looking at the ball, his left arm and leg is planted to allow him to strike through the ball.

3. As Greeny strikes through the ball, you can see his angle of body at 45%, but he is still looking at the ball and will finish his position ahead of the six yard line.

4. Another example of Greeny striking through a ball. Again see the 45% angle as he strikes the ball, left arm giving balance and head looking at the ball with his left foot planted next to the ball for balance.

5. A volleying technique, again following the same technique as kicking off the floor. This time the left arm is slight lower and Greeny is slighty leaning more to the left to allow him to strike over the ball. Again notice Greeny looking at the ball so he can see his foot strike the ball.
