Sells Goalkeeping Academy ambassador Robert Green started for England last night as Fabio Capello’s men ran out 3-1 winners against Mexico at Wembley Stadium.

 

The West Ham goalkeeper played for the first 45 minutes and was arguably man of the match before the interval, making two world-class stops from Arsenal forward Carlos Vela. 

 

“I'm happy with the performance of Green. He saved twice one-on-one," commented Fabio Capello after the match.

 

Green was replaced for the second half by Joe Hart, who will be pushing him all of the way for the number one jersey in South Africa this summer.
