Our latest day in the life of a professional, SGA catches up with Elliott Parish. The keeper is currently on loan to Lincoln City from Aston Villa and tells us about his daily routine.
1. What time do you get up:
On a normal day, I will be up at 8:15am and get ready to leave for training.
2. What time do you leave for training:
Leave my house at 8:35am and then head off to training.
3. What time do you have breakfast/what do you eat:
I usually eat at 9:30am at the training ground. Toast and weetabix or eggs on toast.
4. What do you do when you get to training:
Bikes at 9 to get legs going. Flexibility work till 9:30. Breakfast. Beat everyone at pool for half an hour. Then just warm up in gym for 20 mins.
5. Time you start training/what you do in training:
10:30am start. Gk's would warm up for 30 mins which would include couple of games of keepy ups which is always good fun. Andy marshall always loses.LOL. Then a mixture of handling work, crosses, angle work, footwork and scoring past Andy marshall.LOL. Then would train with the team for one hour which could be small sided games, crossing and finishing, shape or defending and attacking drills. Then finish with the lads shooting and them trying to chip us gk's.
6. Time you finish training:
Finish training around 12 pm.
7. Time you eat Lunch/what do you eat:
Eat around 12:30pm, would normally go for chicken/fish, rice/pasta, veg/salad. Then a yoghurt or fruit salad to finish me off.
8. What do you do in the afternoon/shopping or with the family etc:
If i am not doing weights or training in the afternoon, I have been known for an afternoon nap. I can sleep. I dont bother with shopping as my clothing sense leaves alot to be desired.
9. Time you eat dinner:
Dinner would be around 5:30pm
10. What do you do in the evening:
I would normally just beat a couple of mates on FIFA for a while and then chill out and watch shocking programes like glee.
11. Time to bed:
Hit the sack around 11pm.
